puffy squares for jaclyn’s kid.

Jaclyn is having a baby, which is WEIRD. she is my best friend, and a reflection of myself so it is strange that she is to that point in her life. So, moral of this story is, I’m going to be busy sewing & crocheting so this kid can look fly as fuc… I suppose I should start to censor myself now.

old jeans, new purse.

I cut a pair of jeans into shorts, and had a whole bunch of fabric left over. I also had some old curtains that needed another use. So I figured I would combine these 2 old fabrics into something new and useful. why not a purse? once useless fabric, now a purse. I should mention I use this purse all day yet.
finished!

A cactus at Manzano

We camped for nearly 2 weeks at a crag outside of Santiago, Chile at a place called Manzano. This was a cactus on the hike out. I painted it for Jon’s sister Rachel, and Keetna helped. a bit.

an apron this time.

This apron is special order for Jaclyn Simmons, le wifey. I made the bust of the apron a tiny bit too big, but next time I’ll shrink it down to size. I quite liked making this apron, it was my first & not my last.

a little old, a little new

once again, it’s blizzarding outside, and I don’t have to go to work! which is good and bad. I need to make money to buy more material!

So for this bag, I used an old flower material that I found at a thrift store, combined with the trendy new chevron pattern. I was originally going to sell this one… but I fell in love. now it’s mine:)

it’s tie day

I made several ties today, some for my sister, Allie. Some to sell at work.

once a curtain, now a purse.

I took these old curtains that I bought at a thrift store for a few bucks & turned them into a purse. I have enough material for about 5 more. So I’m going to use this material and try to come up with some new styles. new for me anyway.

a flower purse for mom

A cute little purse I made for my mom, I hope she likes it! I am working out the kinks, the next one will be a bit bigger.
